Michigan's more than 3,000 miles of Great Lakes shoreline -- combined
with all of its rivers, streams and inland lakes -- hold the potential
to wash the rust off the state.
In neighboring Wisconsin and
Ontario, that potential is starting to be realized for this "blue
economy," where water is the fuel for economic development.
